One minute he’s praying the next minute he’s preaching—nude. At least that was the scene at the Washington City Mission in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The Baltimore man had just come into town from a funeral in Maryland and decided to stop off in the church, after watching the man chant in the nude for ten minutes (nothing weird about that) police officers tased him and took him to the hospital.
Why tase the poor guy? He was obviously having a *very* bad day already. Why not just talk him down. Tell him to put his clothes on. So what if he was big - he was frickin naked! Two cops could have taken him if he’d physically resisted, and he obviously didn’t have weapons, unless he had a gun stuck up his ass.
No one in the video even hints at the idea that tasing him might not have been the proper way to handle the situation. This is a sad example of the complacency that makes our police state possible.
Tasing a naked man is sadistic and cowardly. The officers involved should be ashamed of themselves. Sadly, they’re probably proud.
